Rumoured: QUTLS to Change Law Ball Venue

For the first time in years, it has been rumored that the QUTLS’ fabled Law Ball has found a new venue for 2019.

Rumours suggest the change of venue owes to the Society’s long position on Bitcoin coming to maturity and poor performance on the short-term Lightning Link money market. Ethical judgement has been questioned after forensic accountants identified commodities spot trades made on Mexican chili from the VIP room at the Regatta at odd hours.

Sources close to the Events team reveal an adjustment in theme from ‘Into the Woods’ to ‘Into the Sticks’ and change of venue to The Down-Under bar, which promotes itself as ‘Brisbane’s Best Party Bar’.   The new theme will purportedly celebrate stereotypical Australiana with a Summernats burnout themed dancefloor courtesy of a smoke machine already rented for the Cloudland event.

Attendees will also have the option of discounted dorm accommodation as a benefit of their existing tickets.

The incoming treasurer’s reverse takeover negotiations with the UQLS to enact budget repair have yet to yield results.
